This is the word children threatened with almost from the elementary school being encouraged to prepare for the first and serious examination in their life. Parents make maximum efforts to create for their children all conditions for preparation, starting from private classes with teachers till special extra courses. And what if there are no parents? Who will help a foster child from a social institution to understand all peculiarities of the test and to successfully pass this milestone?Within the frame of the Education Project, Saby Charitable Foundation has been cooperating for three years already with one of the leading centers in Almaty for the preparation of school leavers to the CNT. Children from the sponsored boarding schools are financed by the Foundation to attend courses three times a week from October till May. We were pleased with the results of previous periods: the pupils who passed the program were able to get good grades in the testing and many of them entered universities under state grants. No wonder that the number of those wishing to attend extra classes has increased this year. The CNT is certainly a stress for any pupil but systematic preparation for it will give confidence at the critical moment and will become a guarantee for successful study in the following years. And we will learn the indicator of our work next June when we see the evaluation of our eight-month work in the number of grades got by pupils. |

The book includes works of 13 young authors distinguished for their talent and original ideas by our expert in the field of literature, a poet, writer, publicist, secretary and the Chairman of Children’s Literature Board of the Kazakhstan Association of Writers Sultan Kalievich Kaliyev. |

13 September 2012 | Views: 1364  We continue to introduce to readers our Alem participants who have achieved impressive results in their fields despite their young age. We would like to introduce to you a beginning but we are sure that a very perspective producer, about whom the world cinematography will talk in future. Medet Shayakhmetov, a second-year student of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov, is like a ‘one-man band’ inspiring all around with his energy and optimism. He proves the proverb about the fact that ‘a gifted person is good at everything’. Medet is a diploma winner of inexhaustible quantity of city, republican and international vocal competitions; he goes in for skateboard and beatbox, he is the author of many designer works in the style of graffito, he makes motion graphic art, earns money making promo videos and video clips. But the young man dedicated his life to the profession of cross-cutting filmmaking, the education by which is paid by Saby Charitable Foundation currently, and, telling in confidence, the Foundation considers a question about the continuation of his education abroad. |

31 August 2012 | Views: 1198  CNT (Common National Testing) is the most spoken abbreviation of this summer arousing a bunch of emotions among enrollees. For someone it opened doors of universities to gain new knowledge while others were not so lucky with the testing. Some enrollees were not ready enough, others were just at a loss and could not overcome psychological stress.It is a pity that because of one or two insufficient points 11 years of hard work and diligent study are in vain and the Government Scholarship remains to be a dream. In such cases the talented children need a second chance, moreover if they are rural schools leavers, the parents’ income of whose does not allow them to enter the university on a paid basis. Saby Charitable Foundation with its Alem Young Talents Support Program was a kind of sheet anchor for the children who showed excellent results during the whole period of study but went a little wrong on the testing. The Foundation finances the education of talented boys and girls not restricting them in the choice of a university, hence converting their dreams into reality. Quality education of young people is one of priorities of the future development of Kazakhstan. |
