4 July 2012 | Views: 1511  The results of the second Poetry Contest in the state language held by Saby Charitable Foundation as a part of the Alem Young Talents Support Program were summarized. All participants, both grown-ups and children, tried to express their love to the motherland, native country, our planet, the humanity and Human Being.The poetical compositions were evaluated by an expert in literature – the poet, writer, pressman, secretary and chairman of the Childhood Reading Council of the Kazakhstan Writers Alliance Khali Sultan Khaliuly. By results of this creative contest, the only winner was defined to be a 17-year old Akzharkyn Mutiyeva from Atyrau region. According to our expert, she has “perfect potential and great chances to reach high goals in the world of letters”. The winner received the grand prize of the contest – a notebook. |

27 June 2012 | Views: 1356  The social and cultural campaign “Nomad’s Way”, organized this year in February by Saby Foundation, had a goal to introduce Kazakhstan to the world as a young country at the political arena, but with deep historical roots dating back to the ancientry. The cultural heritage of our country, Kazakh masters Zergers being an example of achievements, became a message for the West.Certainly, this campaign drew attention to the Foundation as well: having carefully examined Saby fundraisers, several foreign organizations proposed to cooperate, that proves a positive evaluation of our activities at the international level. In support to this fact the European Society for Quality Research – ESQR conferred Saby Foundation with the “International Diamond Prize for Customer Satisfaction 2012” at the award ceremony held in Rome, on June 23-24. It is annually awarded to commercial and non-commercial organizations from different countries “in sign of recognition of distinguished achievements in meeting customers’ expectations and excellent outcomes in quality management”. |

6 June 2012 | Views: 1701  Great Alfred Hitchcock used to say: “There are three things for shooting a good film: a script, a script and again a script!”. As if continuing the thought of the genius, the Movie Script Contest, which gives the opportunity to our compatriots, and not only to them, to internationally reveal their talent, has been held for the third year in the frame of the International Movie Festival.In Kazakhstan such a serious contest is held with the support of the Akimat of Astana and the Alem Program of Saby Charitable Foundation. Today, we know the names of the 10 best screenwriters (5 Kazakh and 5 international), which have the real chance to collaborate with Bazelevs production company of the well-known director Timur Bekmambetov and receive a significant prize in the amount of $10,000. From July 1 to July 3, 2012, at the festival in Astana, the finalists will submit to approval to the educated audience their scripts of the action category. |

18 May 2012 | Views: 1810  The first stage of the Movie Script Contest, held as a part of Timur Bekmambetov’s Astana Action Movie Festival, has been completed.The Selection Committee names the 22 scriptwriters who have passed the semi-final with their synopsises, there are 12 Kazakh and 10 foreign competitors among them. To continue the contention for a place in the final, the writers should present promptly the full versions of the screenplays, only 10 of which will be chosen (5 Kazakh and 5 foreign writers). We will know to whom Fortune will favor as early as June 1, 2012. Saby Charity Foundation, acting as an official partner of the Contest, wishes everyone good luck! |
