We have good news for our compatriots! Special privileges are given to Kazakhstan within the limits of Timur Bekmambetov's Competition of scenarios. Terms to make scenery application are prolonged in Kazakhstan till May, 1st, unlike other countries, for which last day is 15th of April.

Zhassulan Sydykov, a participant of the “Alem” Programme for the support of young talents since 2010 and a student of the Conservatory named after Kurmangazy at the expense of our Foundation, has been presented a set of professional music equipment from the "Saby" Foundation for self-study in his spare time.

Now Zhassulan does have to join the queue to the instrument in the morning as many students do – during the whole period of education he will be able to devote more time to his creative development

It is significant that the "Saby" Foundation renders integrated comprehensive support to participants of the “Alem” Programme and does not confine its involvement only by one-time financial payments.

The Contest of scenarios organized by Bekmambetov has started The “Saby” Charitable Foundation has accepted enthusiastically a proposal from Timur Bekmambetov to establish a partnership in the Contest of scenarios, which we have already written about on pages of our site, as the tasks of this Contest are in consistence with the objectives of the Alem Programme. The Foundation’s work in the project will consist in accumulating and sorting the information, ensuring communication links with candidates, as well as organizational functions.

Competition has started scriptingKazakhstani people now have the opportunity to take part in the world Action Film Screenplay Contest. The brightest ones will get a chance to cooperate with the Company of famous film director Mr. Timur Bekmambetov “Bezelevs”.

The contest is conducted in the framework of the Second Annual International Action Film Festival. Its purpose is to nurture the best and brightest aspiring filmmakers and writers.
It is very easy to become a participant of the contest. You should submit the pdf-document no longer than 2 pages which consists of:
- Action film proposal, including a logline and a synopsis (first page);
- Biography of the writer, including writer's contact information (second page);
Full screenplays should exist for all the submissions.
In the course of the Second Annual International Action Film Festival that will take place in Astana from 1 till 5 July 2011 five selected action-genre projects will be workshopped and pitched in front of an industry panel.

The depth of the country will find out about the “Alem” Programme“Alem” Programme, the purpose of which is to help young people develop their talents, has become popular in various parts of the country. Every day we receive a great many letters and telephone calls from applicants, their tutors and parents. Due to republican newspapers and magazines for teachers published in January and containing information on this Project, the programme has become popular both in large cities and in remote rural areas.

We are especially glad that there are so many talented children in rural area as the “Alem” Programme is aimed, first of all, at such children.

There are already the first results of our work. Curriculum vitae of competitors who will receive the Foundation’s support under the Project, will be soon published at www.alemsaby.kz.
